looks like i just get to hand-feed a chipmunk almost every morning now, makes me think she needs a name. suggestions?

i've befriended my backyard chipmunks! squirrels, birds, & rabbits too, but only the chipmunks have started letting me hand-feed them 🙂

successfully got one of the chipmunks to take almonds from my hand just now. honestly, one of my happiest moments in a long time. it feels really nice to be trusted that much by a tiny little animal

it can't. win11 requires a tpm 2.0 module, my laptop came with win10 (& has extra security features compared to most laptops) but still no tpm 2.0 compatability (tpm 2.0 only goes back to 2015, my laptop is from around then but only tpm 1.0 because my CPU doesn't support 2.0)

the chipmunk that's been peeking her head inside the sliding door lately actually tried to cone inside today, had to wave her off really quick to stop her. would've been tough getting her back outside, the whole house is pretty open. also saw her try strawberries & apples today, very cute

i almost forgot, had to sign up for the year of extended service updates since my laptop can't run 11

went for a slow, short walk earlier & ran into two dogs just running around together. they were SUPER friendly & both came for quick pets but they were too busy adventuring for me to get a look at their tags. not sure if the bigger one was a husky or a malamute, but it was extremely cute

i feel like everyone should put on a playlist of their favorite 90s ska bands and sing along as loud as possible at least twice a year. skanking optional

oh nice, i'm getting my brother's old series x. which i will predictably use (mostly) to play more Skyrim, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4, & Borderlands 3

how would one go about selling their services as a new caretaker for your pets, should you become raptured? i'd want the contract to include that all pet owner rapturees have to contribute to buying me, their pets, & my friends a nice fortified house. oddly, there's probably a market for this

a couple new photos of one of the baby chipmunks. this one is really tiny & timid around other animals, but will come right up to the sliding door when i'm sitting there w/ it open. he was very playful this morning, ducking into the pile of leaves under the logs & popping back up

do you have Aldi out there? they're great for groceries too, i love their food

i will admit that for a minute earlier i was thinking about how it's a shame that you can't have pet chipmunks, then i remembered that hamsters aren't that different. funny that i forgot that, i had two hamsters (20 years ago)

no, really. if you have chipmunks living in your yard, feed them. it's so fun watching them & it's gotten to the point where there's usually one or two near our patio at all times now. it makes you feel good when the local animals like you & trust you 🙂

glad i had good timing this morning. i'm super-achey (it's rainy here, that never helps) so i might not get up to feed the neighborhood animals again today, but i still saw one of the baby chipmunks & my favorite squirrel (it's missing 2/3s of it's tail & very friendly) in the few min i was up
