After a few songs solo @kidkoala.bsky.social brought out Lealani, who one might confuse for his protégé, except she appears to be entirely competent on her own at a prodigious age. He even drummed on one of her songs! Apparently they're a band, or more properly a duo, and will be touring together.

Luckily @kidkoala.bsky.social took the stage, opening with his classic remix of "Moon River," which he specified was his mom's favorite of his tracks. I got to meet him ~10 years ago w/ @chuckm.bsky.social when he played the opening of BABY DRIVER @alamodrafthouse.bsky.social, but this was better.

There's no nice way to say opener LordSko sucked in a way that I thought for sure was a bit, and then once I realized it wasn't, I noped out of the rest of his set. As there was a table in the lobby for WeedMaps that he shouted out, I assume he was a contractual obligation for their participation.

Last night at Webster Hall I got to see a truly formative musical act for the 25th anniversary of their debut album, hip-hop supergroup DELTRON 3030: producer Dan "The Automator" Nakamura, DJ Eric Yick Keung San aka Kid Koala, and our hero & MC, Del The Funky Homosapien.

Sat nite I was in the Impressionists, entered a room & asked a woman to wear her bag in front.
