The new @valvesoftware.com steam machine really does remind me about Deep thought from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy

I work in the industry. Its more that rads or more often krads is standard is space testing. Mainly due to historical circumstances from what I understand and also convince of numbers.
When I did irradiations for medical and other items, that was often Gy but sometimes rad depending on end user

How easy do you think would it be to fit the beelink into a 10 inch rack. Its effectively 2.25U, so could a couple of pis be stacked next to it for efficient space in a mini rack?

AM5 Motherboards Sheet (X870/X670/B650/A620)

Not sure if you are aware of this curated list of all AM5 motherboards but I found it useful when trying to pick mine. But it indeed does feel that so many things have been dropped not to mention 3+ slot cards covering much needed PCIE slots

The Nibblon the average percentage every year that a product decreases in size due to shrinkflation.
Example of being used in a sentence: This Mars bar has reduced by 2 Nibblons this year what is the world coming to!

In psychology, the "wisdom of the crowd" theory shows how averaging many guesses can reveal surprising accuracy. The "sweets in a jar" experiment is a common way of demonstrating this. Looking at the results for LEGO pieces in this Minifig head reveals... we're a bit off. Likely needed more people!

Short poem about X-ray fluorescence from space radiation, allowing EPIC-pn on XMM-Newton to take a selfie #yarrbooty

Cosmic rays in endless flight,
Copper glows with X-ray light.
In every pulse, a story told,
An EPIC selfie, circuits bold.

Currently doing research on custom DIY keyboards. It's a shame there are so few ISO UK selections out there, so much ANSI. I want my extra key and nicely shaped enter key

Things I am still missing from twitter:
- Larry the bird (the logo!)
- The name, twitter, has a special place in my heart
- The fail whale
- Space companies & people

However everything else seems to be here!

Looks like a great machine w/ 10GB ethernet. I would use it as a CI/CD for building my code for Apple silicon... but as usual the prices for storage... WTF. I'm fine with RAM being SoC for Apple due to chips underlying architecture. I'll stick to Linux and Windows where I can tinker & upgrade

Linux Mint I've used it for over a decade now. Have tried many different ones,(Zorin, Pop, elementary & others) over the years. At one point I quintuple-booted a machine using rEFInd and switched between many. Probably wasn't the best way to do it, I still wonder how many nth-boot you could go to
