20.10.2025 11:04 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Talking about 2028 is dangerously naive; the danger is now. Trump is directing the military and justice department to go to "war" on US cities and his enemies, from TV hosts to former FBI directors. Keeping the 2026 midterms fair may be the last stand. To see declining emissions 100% of oil & gas investment should be on offsetting losses and it shouldnโt be enough to actually offset them.

I wonder if once the situation is critical enough the ultra-right of Meloni, Orban and co will face the music and finally give in to further EU unity.
The push might come from the โcleaned upโ Meloni herself?

This is insane.

Is OpenAI also being sued by this class? What have they done?

โrenewables are booming despite fossil fuels getting nearly nine times the government consumption subsidies as they do. In 2023, global fossil fuel subsidies amounted to $620 billion, compared to $70 billion for renewables, the UN report saidโ

I'm all for trying to ease intergenerational tensions, but the people who are most opposed to reaching net zero by 2050 are literally those who will not be around to face the consequences.

Solar will go exponential. The market forces are clear.
The grid definitely wasnโt a โno-goโ for going from a renewables share of โ34% in 2019 to 47% in 2024, as the fossil share declined from 39% to a historic low of 29%โ
With specific countries at much higher RES penetrations with no issues.
It sounds like unnecessary fear mongering.
The โunreliable gridโ is already handling the transition.
Of course more investment is needed but the EU already produced around 47% of power from renewables in 2024 & rising fast.
Itโs a long process that is already happening and there is no going back.

Why are you trying to connect the energy transition to totally unrelated events?
You seem to be pushing a fabricated narrative that energy transition=blackouts and energy insecurity by connecting negative events that are unrelated to renewables.
Why?
What does the transition have to do with it?
You need working transformers if you want to have a functioning grid regardless of how you generate power.
Good to see gas finally going down. Solar with batteries is displacing gas and not just covering new demand.

Over the past 12 months (to April), solar generated more electricity than any other source in California โ surpassing gas for the first time in history.
