It's really good, but I was surprised to see that our Cataloger put it in YA. Then I looked further, and discovered that ALL the branches put it in YA.
...was this a YA novel and I just didn't realize? Huh.

1. Patron says "I spilled something on this". Me: Is that BLOOD? (Yes. She "spilled" blood. She fucking HANDED it to me.)
2. Patron returns books with liquid damage, pages stuck together, stains, and MOLD. So. Much. Mold.
Not one, but TWO surgery-prep-level scrub-downs today. π‘FML #LibraryLife
Uh...something going on in Sweden in the 1600's; I'm not clear on what (oh - Protestantism turfing out Catholics, maybe?) I just know the oldest one we've found got here in 1616.)
Lot of early adopters in my family; all branches were here before the Rev War.
Mug with an image of a bird and the text "Our expectations for you were low, but Holy Fuck." Produced by "Effin' Birds".
Presented without comment, but lots and lots of directly aimed side-eye. (If you're reading this, it's not aimed at you.)
02.02.2026 18:03 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0That'll do it - I haven't been on FB since 2016 or thereabouts.
01.02.2026 22:07 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I was thinking about the quiet soundtrack of the film last night, and if you really liked that, you should check out "Sator" - same sort of 'the silence becomes a character itself' quality to it. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 16:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I didn't know they made a TV series out of that! The podcast was great. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 16:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0But she left her coat over one of them, so that's not really a viable option. #HorrorWatch

01.02.2026 03:20 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I really enjoyed that! I thought it was a decent psychological thriller with some really freaky bits (aliens - always a plus!) Some lessons to be learned about wildcraft (more than one lcd flashlight, ditch your fires, corpses don't need your coat but you could freeze without it), tho. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 03:17 β π 10 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0And now she's got a lot of 'splaining to do with the local constabulary. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 03:13 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This movie is really keeping me uneasy; the sounds and the time cuts, and her very visceral fear. Love this - how did I not hear about it? Definitely buying it for work if I can find a hard copy. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 02:55 β π 9 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0OH. This movie is about PTSD, isn't it? I just realized. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 02:52 β π 8 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0I dunno about the Alps, but if you're lost in the woods in TN and you find a creek, follow it - it'll eventually cross a road. #HorrorWatch

01.02.2026 02:46 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0So is it in the fog, or is simply the fog itself? Making itself the form of the guy who cut her throat, or just making her *see* the guy? Not sure which is scarier, honestly. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 02:44 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am loving this movie so far - the lighting and the ambient sounds are the perfect quiet backdrop for this skin-crawling implication of violence. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 02:37 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Oh, look - I was wondering where the horror was. *There* it is! This is never a welcome sight when you near another person's campsite. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 02:32 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I dunno; might be more a visual vs auditory thing. But I watch just about everything with subs now, because a) movie soundtracks are inconsistent and b) I danced in front of the speakers for way too many concerts in my misspent youth. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 02:31 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 3 π 0It's times like this you really regret not bringing a phone. #HorrorWatch

01.02.2026 02:23 β π 6 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0It's very soothing, isn't it? Suddenly I understand people who watch travel videos. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 02:22 β π 7 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0This landscape is very beautiful & it's making me miss camping & being alone in the woods. :wistful sigh: #HorrorWatch

01.02.2026 02:13 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Also...you should probably not fill your canteen from local wild water sources unless you have purification tablets or you really like intestinal distress. Just sayin'. #HorrorWatch
01.02.2026 02:12 β π 9 π 1 π¬ 2 π 0Still don't think you need to write out the sound effects for laces, lol. #HorrorWatch
