One thing is for certain: the uniforms have been bangers.

Sooners will be wearing their bowl patches on the right side of their jersey for the Armed Forces Bowl.

OU is 1-4 since 2000 when wearing the bowl patch on the right, compared to 10-9 on the left.

Friday will be just the eighth time the Sooners have faced a military academy.

OU is 5-2 all-time including 2-0 vs Air Force, 3-1 vs Army, and 0-1 vs Navy.

The Armed Forces Bowl features a unique field design with both endzones sporting a USA design.

Here's an updated look at all of the Sooners Bowl Game Endzones since the 2000 season.

OU and Navy have met just once before, in 1965, a 10-0 Navy victory.

Linebacker Carl McAdams logged 24 tackles that day, a record that would stand until 2018 when Kenneth Murray had 25...against Army.

Which always reminds me of one of my favorite Bob Stoops quotes, about the new helmet finish, from the beginning of fall practice in 2000.

Despite using the same brand Pantone Color (201) the Sooners and Crimson Tide have very different football helmet finishes.

Alabama uses a standard gloss shell, while OU has used a metallic finish since 2000.

Former Sooner Trae Young is officially signing with Jordan Brand, via Nick DePaula.
