For what itβs worth, which probably isnβt much, the more shit they throw at us, the more determined I become to be ferociously, vocally queer and trans. It took me until my 30s to break free of all the boxes in which Iβd (un)willingly let myself be trapped, and I wonβt be shoved back into them now.

Just going to jump on this (somewhat cheekily) to say that thoroughly editing academic books on the humanities and social sciences is very much my jam, if anyone is looking! PhD, extensive experience of working in scholarly publishing (and trans). Please feel free to DM me, if youβre interested.
