I also think games are different from comics, though, in that games have to *function*. If a game has rules that don't work, or icons that don't parse, or a manual that's confusing, the enjoyment doesn't come through. Comics are a meal, games are a recipe. That makes them much more fiddly, imo

This is great advice but I do think it helps to think a little bit about whether it's good enough. Not a lot, maybe. But trying hard to meet your own idiosyncratic standards can be fun!

This was made evident to me recently when I tried to get a payout from Gumroad. The payment was held up for some reason. The support (via email, even!) was a bot who just didn't have a way to solve the problem. Gumroad still has the money because there just wasn't a way to resolve the issue.
