Why Do We Undervalue the Lives of Disabled People? Ableism is why. Capitalism is why. A 'pull yourself up by your bootstraps' mentality is why. We can and must do better, and it starts with a commitment to stop debating a person's worth.

This idea that disabled people should be made to suffer stems from systemic ableism.

Not thrilled with where we're at. But I've seen lots of people use the US' low reported case counts as ammo to slag Canadian response efforts, which are sometimes lacking (esp. in Alberta) but vastly superior to the US.

We would do well to keep our negativity focused south. This is all their fault.
