Illinois law authorizes @govpritzker.illinois.gov to reactivate the Illinois State Guard. Normally they’re just a kind of extra reserve, but state defense forces are outside the National Guard system, they can’t be federalized.

He should do so. As he accurately put it, his state is being invaded.

Texas received over a billion dollars for “migrant aid” while busing people to Chicago and violating human rights over and over again.

Now they’re getting $12 billion in the big beautiful bill to recomp for “expenses” like building a border wall— Illinois should sue.

Hopefully the whole Bari Weiss thing and Ezra Klein thing starts waking people up to the fact that corporate media is mostly populated with mediocre people who have made millions and gained unbelievable influence because they threaten nothing and tell wealthy people exactly what they want to hear.
