This is pretty directly blaming "writers using AI" on other struggling people who often can't make ends meet themselves not buying from writers.
A lot of us are not in a situation to do that, and it's not helpful to suggest that's why people use AI when BILLIONAIRES use it every day.

I also still HATE all those novels with a burning passion and never read any of them again, bc I don't have to.

She dunked on us every day and we all hated her and several of us left the school, so. I don't think it was particularly effective.

That was AP lang. I never took AP lit bc I transferred to the community college for "senior year" taking gen Ed and never looked back

We weren't enthused enough for her about Cold Mountain and the Joads and A Farewell to Arms, even if our writing was technically perfect. Idk how she ever dealt with a single class after mine if that's how she felt. She must have stopped teaching immediately bc the youth today would DESTROY her.

I had never scored below an A in an English class before. It turned out when I spoke to my (also highly literate and well written!) classmates and met with her about it later that she just gave out Ds to all of us bc she felt we "needed improvement" and that was the grade she decided we deserved.

My sophomore high school English teacher must be SPINNING in her grave, I assume she is dead bc she was old then. She HATED me and my writing and I was like, exceptionally literate. She gave me Ds for "needs improvement" while I was slogging through novel after novel abt war, death, sickness.

Sometimes I feel more sinus headachey too right after a big one

Yeah I've been having consistent sinus pressure since I moved into this hellhole where I'm constantly in sensory overload/meltdown! Idk if it's a trigger or what

But it's become obvious to me that people do not like that. They need the prompt of asking or they won't share at all, and then assume you're just selfish and never wanted to know. Which is sad to me but it's clearly my responsibility to change how I communicate to make them comfortable

I can be there for someone and offer them everything in the world but I don't know their inner life until they choose to share it with me. I'm not gonna pester someone about personal details and expect them to reveal all of that on my schedule. I'm used to just letting people share when they want to

Alcohol really helped with shutting the fuck up and overacting "I'm listening" but again the mask isn't there, and I'm not drinking. So it's harder to convince people I care bc I'm not *performing* it, even if I do genuinely care and am explicit about wanting cross communication and equal sharing

There's a standing culture of "if they didn't ask they didn't want to know" and I get that! I personally don't fit well into that mold, because I have a million thoughts all the time and used to people not caring enough to ask. Sharing stories is imporant to me so I need to get used to asking more!

Even just non autistic people. Since for a while I was basically only talking to other infodumpers I have to get used to prompting again, as a teller I do not require that to share but I understand most people need that or they feel disrespected, like you don't care about them if you don't prompt

They're normal human feelings on a normal scale, I just have to process them and I h8 being inside my head bc I get into rumination spirals and it's HARD to redirect that. It's not comfortable to deal with unmasking and how that makes you...less appealing to many NTs

I don't like to compare myself to other people, and anytime a child shows any skill they are immediately pushed into competing against other children and trying to be "the best." because don't you wanna be the best????? Smh I don't give a fuck about beating other people.

I've heard all the arguments for sports my whole life and I've been surrounded by people telling me I'm wrong and weird for not wanting to say I am better than other people at something. I'm actually happy just with my own skill levels and developing as an individual sorry

People who have a positive experience with team sports are interesting to me because I am SO uncompetitive as a person. Whenever I was forced into team sports as a kid everyone was always obsessed with crushing and killing the other team, the sport or the mythical "camaraderie" never even mattered

It's SO disheartening to know there are people out there suffering and too capitalism-eugenics brained and self hating, that they see anyone asking for help and immediately go "you don't NEED that bc EYE don't. Just WORK harder you drain on society" and that sucks.

Ppl taking the absolutely weird thing that is the Van Der beek gofundme which has a LOT of valid criticisms! to be like "EYE would never BEG for money on the INTERNET. I would simply suffer nobly and work more jobs" which isn't helping anyone

Finally threw away my nasty old hairbrush that I had for a ding dang *decade* bc I had basically stopped brushing my hair (it is wavy/curly and very fine & brittle so it breaks A LOT and frizzed out BAD when I brushed) and got a new one at the dollar tree... that works a million times better. Nice.
