22.10.2025 21:09 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So true. Some spoiling is in order. We lost Emma in July, itβs still weird.

28.08.2025 20:48 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We donβt get a lot of reptiles in the Seattle area, so it was fun showing my kids this little guy in Oregon!
11.08.2025 16:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Was on the afternoon tour of the Puget Sound Express and saw the T137 pod catch two harbor porpoise, flipping one several feet in the air. Also saw a humpback - absolutely fantastic tour. Never expected to see that. These are just photos from my iPhone. Nice sunset too!

We lost Emma Thursday morning. She had a good, normal last day - played with a doggie friend, went for a walk, ate lots of treats and had plenty of snuggles. She passed peacefully and naturally, at 15 1/2 years old.
She was the best dog, and left a big hole. Hug your doggie for us.
Are there any folks in science journalism space in NY, or the US in general who would be interested in doing a story on the Paleontological Research Institution? They are one of the 10 largest fossil museums in the US and desperately need ~1-2million dollars by December to pay off their mortgage π§ͺ

29.06.2025 01:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Can confirm not getting it is better, but having done the above and *still* getting it, I can confirm that these tips helped me get the rest I needed to recover. Especially the nasal spray to keep my throat from drying out. My second round of covid but no long covid this time at least.

13.06.2025 21:11 β π 8 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0I have this crow with a deformity that has taken residence in our yard. Despite its beak it seems to be in a bonded pair, preens, and feeds easily. I wonder what caused it?
12.06.2025 19:47 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The craziest thing about this fight between Trump and Elon Musk is that Republicans are trying to take away health care from 16 million people to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.
