I did finish it and I’d probably give it a 5/10. The good and bad even out into a season I don’t find particularly remarkable, but I’ll still give it credit for trying harder than the other Hulu animated reboots. I don’t see myself watching completely through season 15 when that comes out though.

I don’t think this new season is poor quality. I appreciate it trying to be somewhat different from the typical reboot with the timeskip, but I can see an improved version of this concept in my head.

I understand in order to sell the show, it has to be KING OF THE HILL STARRING HANK HILL, but “Hank get IPad” plots are tiresome after dealing with 6-7 mediocre to poor seasons during its last run.

No spoilers, but I’m watching through the new King of the Hill season, which has been interesting. Part of me wishes the show was specifically about Bobby and his group with Hank, Dale etc being more side characters ala Cotton in the original. That type of focus would tighten up the comedy too.

I had a similar epiphany with Breath of the Wild where it was so limitless that my enjoyment of other Zelda games was permanently affected.

I think this show has ruined my perception of comedy. Specifically the first two seasons but it’s sooooo well written with its masterful setups and payoffs. It’s to the point where I know I’ll be watching other comedies, both TV and online content, and will end up being compared as worse.
