In social movement studies, we talk about how marches and protests expand the threshold of acceptable risk so that people take more and bigger social risks IN PUBLIC, EN MASSE. This is extremely important for the bourgeois white folks holding signs and building social rapport.

Nicola Walker is hauntingly brilliant playing a recurring role in season 3 of the tv show Scott & Bailey which I've always described as a British modern day Cagney and Lacey.

I always recommend Counterpart on amazon prime. It's a fantastic mix of spy thriller and sci fi with a great cast, quality writing and a fascinating premise. One of the few shows that I rewatch periodically because it's so good.
