Bill Cassidy: β€œWe’re all trying to find the guy who did this” πŸ˜’

Sharing information about Covid is not fear mongering, it’s β€œlife mongering” because we’re trying to remind people of how precious life is, and how damaging Covid is to it.
There are no do overs when it comes to permanent damage.

Screenshot of an e-mail. It reads: ":Hello
I’m contacting you because Alberta is currently refusing to fund a federally-approved chemotherapy drug (Trabectedin) that my oncologist prescribed at the Cross Cancer Institute.
Despite Health Canada approval (2016) and a national reimbursement recommendation (Oct 2025), Alberta has not added it to the funded list.
I’m facing a $60,000 bill (10k every 3 weeks) while fighting metastatic cancer (Leiomyosarcoma)
This is a major policy failure and an example of how provincial decisions override national standards at the expense of patients. Im hoping you would share my story not only to help me but also other cancer patients impacted by lengthy delays.

Thank you"

This Albertan needs help. She has cancer (Leiomyosarcoma) and was prescribed a specific drug, Trabectedin (Yondelis), which has been approved by Health Canada, and recommended by the Canadian Drug Agency, but Alberta doesn't cover it.

I wonder if those who gave their lives for our freedom ever envisioned a world where we would squander their sacrifice, by allowing bought politicians to usher in fascism for the sole benefit of the ultra rich and corporations?

Something tells me they would not be pleased.

Important: The anti-vaxx movement is closely connected to white supremacy. They blame the spread of measles on immigrants, and they frequently target immigrant communities with anti-vaxx disinformation.

Chemtrails were a comical marker of being totally off the rails. Tinfoils hats et al.

Now? Example of the legitimization & embrace of hardcore bunk.

States ban them & RFK Jr wants a "task force"?

Finally watched Zohran Mamdani's victory speech and I almost fuckin cried. I got real goosebumps. This is what we need.

Stop listening to the loudest and most out-of-touch pundits screaming about moving to the centre. Be bold and unrelenting in caring about each other.

TURN THE VOLUME UP!

Hugh Jackman is walking through an airport with a black suitcase on wheels wearing a blue polo shirt, black pants and a red and blue baseball cap and a book bag and a black mask. It’s hard to tell whether or not the mask is N 95 but it kind of looks like a surgical mask. He is walking next to a woman who is wearing an and off yellow sweater and a book bag as well she has a ponytail. There are blurred out people in the background.

Hugh Jackman masking in the airport. Why? Because masking can help you avoid sickness. Masking is not political, it’s practical. Let’s get Wolverine an N95 next time though.

The picture is a Forrest Gump played by Tom Hanks, sitting on a park bench speaking to an African-American woman who is wearing a pink sweater and a white dress. He’s holding a box of chocolates. The caption says not wearing a mask in public is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get in the upper right corner is another picture of Tom Hanks not playing a character, but wearing a black mask on a subway train with his legs crossed, sitting on an orange chair.

If I was a Republican member of Congress watching the results tonight, I’d ask myself if I really wanted my legacy to be: Guy who helped an aging pedophile suspend the constitution so he could enrich himself and his friends.

In an interview
Tom Hanks explained
his mask wearing
by noting β€œI’ve had Covid
enough in my life,
I don’t need to do that again,”
and he is right, for he knows
β€œlife is like a box of chocolates
you never know
what you’re going to get”
so you should try
not to keep getting Covid.

N95s can prevent more than just Covid!

They stop colds, flus and other airborne illness.

They’re also highly effective against pollen, pollution, wildfire smoke and environmental triggers.

Many maskers haven’t been sick in years.

Respirators are pretty amazing.

They’ve buried it so thoroughly my colleagues know little about the thousands of studies on problems… and even more importantly… almost nothing about the solutions.

The virus just got more insidious. Like HIV, it can be completely asymptomatic and then kill you in 5-10 years.

Sometimes it’s longer.

The fact that people aren’t masking and/or using air cleaners with all of the evidence pointing to really bad outcomes from repeated infections drives me bonkers.

My unpopular take is that the government should mandate masked (respirators) shopping hours at essential grocery stores/pharmacies or provide a tax credit for delivery so disabled & immunopromised folks don't have to pay extra fees just to keep themselves safe and alive

30% had not recovered after 5 months (the length of the study). Common to get reinfected once or twice a year, so many will be continuously impacted.

Avoiding COVID infections is a trait with a significant evolutionary advantage.
