Yeah, in climate policy it's been top-down, international: "let's convince the World Leaders with science."

But I've come to see that the real work is always at least regional with industrial-scale RE siting. The work with the rivers, transport and mobility for all people, not just drivers

There is a reason why many in the climate movement do not want to confront the car company or the airline directly. I did the latter based on science and emissions commitments, and it pretty much ended my career at that level in Finland (mutually)

In the U.S. yes, the classification issue is a profit thing for car makers. Those kinds of monster trucks were at least earlier banned from the EU market because they cause accidents, problems with the emissions rules etc.

My drift boat, with two rods and fins, was leaning against the information stand in Kolovesi National Park.

Sailing boats have small engines or motors for cruising in light winds and for easier docking. I've been thinking about towing the drift boat with the packraft to extend the range.

Why are the outboard engine boats meant to go fast and have excessive power?

- Because they consume a lot of oil

Isn't that the same as Sports Utility Vehicles?

The smaller crafts and rafts are cheap to rent. I had an outboard engine boat on rental a few times on the Pielinen Lake but it felt clunky, heavy and used a lot of gasoline.

Three 25 litre tanks on a two-day trip. 1500 kilometers range in my hybrid car. Guess why the oil business is so lucrative?
