In my conference speech, I announced our @libdems.org.uk call for a new Energy Security Bank - funded by a windfall tax on big banks - to offer affordable loans for households, small businesses and community energy groups to lower energy bills.

Wanting the UK to succeed is patriotic.

Asking America to sanction us, like Farage did, isn’t.

That’s not love of our country - it’s sabotage.

Elon Musk is a deeply irresponsible man and all party leaders should call him out.

Over the past year, the Government has done nothing but neglect farmers - with the cruel family farm tax, cutting the farming budget and selling out British farmers by accepting lower-standard US beef.

Liberal Democrats back British farmers who deserve so much better.

Kemi Badenoch is chasing Reform and losing her own MPs in the process. The Tory party is crumbling, and lifelong Conservatives are turning to the Liberal Democrats.

As always, it was great to catch up with the NFU to hear more about their work in this area, and reaffirm @libdem commitment to protecting our British farmers.

Our fantastic farmers are a testament to Britain, making vital contributions to our economy & putting nutritious food on our tables. But they're facing immense challenges from the government's ill-thought-through family farm tax and ineffective enforcement against fly-tipping, amongst other issues.

Today is #BackBritishFarmingDay, and it's more important now than ever.

Parents of disabled children face endless hoops just to care for their loved ones.

At PMQ's, @EdDavey.LibDems.org.uk called to overhaul the system, the PM agreed.

I’ve called for it to be reinstated and am pressing Ministers directly too.

London Colney Parish Council has spent 3 years developing a neighbourhood plan so residents can have their voice heard on the location and type of homes built in the area but the Labour government has pulled the funding so it can’t be completed.

(As the @libdems.org.uk have long argued, we need a strong relationship with our European neighbours to defend Ukraine. That means:

His powerful address to Parliament underscored the need for unity in the face of Russian aggression.

Today @EdDavey.LibDems.org.uk and @MuniraWilson.bsky.social have written to Keir Starmer setting out five principles for SEND reform, and offering to work on a cross-party basis with the government to ensure the reforms deliver for children with SEND and their families.

Survivors of Ireland’s mother and baby homes shouldn’t lose welfare support for claiming compensation they’re owed.
