Universal basic income would allow people to live creatively and in places that are now depressed ghost towns. If you were guaranteed an income sufficient to thrive, you wouldn't need to leave your small town to find work.

To those who say "we can't afford this":

The crowd that denounces universal basic income because they think people would stop working if their needs were met are admitting that they are too lazy, boring, and selfish to have interests, hobbies, or community outside of their jobs.

There are so many better ways to encourage people to eat healthier.

We should have universal healthcare, a basic income, childcare and affordable housing.

If basic needs are met, healthy living becomes much easier.
