I think the mayor's stock would go up significantly if she endorsed a city manager for St. Louis. Let someone else manage snow storms and take the heat when things go sideways. A concession and a remedy would go a long way right now. @vdanielav.bsky.social currently has a bill for a CM.

It feels so St. Louis that we've only given two mayors more than one term. We are quick to anger, slow to forgive, and punish with ease. We actually can't move forward when we start over every four years. We also can't tell the true measure of a mayor in only four years.

The mayor's race is a tough one: one is stubborn to an alienating degree but feels trustworthy in many ways, and the other is pliable to an untrustworthy degree but is open to the input of others.
