I spoke w/local food bank to ask what they needed to most as far as donations, and they requested cash instead of food donations as they can purchase what they need at a deep discount/wholesale rate. Just an FYI in case you were going to purchase food to donate vs. donating from your own shelves.

I’ve set up a recurring donation with mine. Even $5 a month can help a lot—usually way more than we, who don’t buy in bulk, could buy in equivalent.
