I voted Harris, and I don’t fault her or Obama or anyone else for stepping back. I’ve reached the point where I will fight as I can, but deep down I suspect my family’s days are short. If I can’t stop it, at least I tried to clear the metaphorical blood from my hands from pre-deconstruction.

As a native Waco, Texas resident, I was worried we wouldn’t have much turnout for the 50501 protest. I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. 380 people, and most of the honking and drive-by shoutouts were SUPPORTING us. We can, we WILL, overcome.

I want to sincerely thank every single one of my Senate Democratic colleagues who came to the floor, not to just support me, but to share incredibly powerful stories and ask important questions their constituents want answers to.
