Feliz de anunciar que se nos ha otorgado el Google Academic Research Award (GARA) para la construcción de un conjunto de datos para el desarrollo y evaluación de modelos de traducción automática neuronal (TAN), enfocándonos en las lenguas mayas de Guatemala.

Que se traten a las lenguas/hablantes de forma distinta en nuestras sociedades poco o nada tiene que ver con la lengua en sí. Por el contrario, es por qué y a quién indexa.
Que una lengua/acento/forma de hablar sea "bonita, útil, fea, moderna, civilizada" y otra no, no es intrínseco a la lengua.
