Dahlia of the day: Clearview Peachy. I expanded my dahlias from 40 to 100 this year and ordered a slew of new varieties- many of them ball form dahlias. Clearview Peachy is a huge ball, some blooms are 5-6 inches in diameter. Amazing!

Newest dahlia bloom: Robann Royal. Hybridized in 1991 by Robert and Anna Moynahan. It’s a gorgeous shade of purple although my pictures make it look pink.

Narrows Pam- a new dahlia for me. Her first blooms are a delightful shade of pinky lavender. Narrows Pam was hybridized by Ken Walton in 2012.

Skipley Moonglow’s first bloom (with Sandia Flirt). Skipley Moonglow was hybridized by Dick Williams in 2001 and is a sweet creamy yellow with the faintest hint of blush at the center.

Dahlia of the day- Barbarry Dominion, now blooming in my yard. It’s a fantastic shrimpy pink color that is hard to photograph. Introduced by Barry Davies of the UK in 1988.
