In games like 11 Dong Zhou can really get on a roll, if Lu Bu and Diao Chan don’t stop him.

One thing RTK11 did pretty well: Dong Zhou is actually pretty strong in his scenario.
Anyone playing as Cao Cao will have their hands full in that one, because the AI is probably the most aggressive in the series.
I’ve had Dong Zhou get out of control on me a few times in that one 😔

Oh yeah definitely. He’s loaded for bear if you’re playing after the Dong Zhou scenario.

My son was watching me play RTK8R this morning and he also learned the following:

It’s nice to have both Cao Cao and Zhuge Liang on your side 👏🎉🙏

Zhuge Liang is the best character in Three Kingdoms. He excels Cao Cao in strategy and tricks, but does it selflessly. He is without ambition and much easier to cheer for.

Even so, those two strategists are the central beams of the epic. There’s other great characters, but they stir the drink 👏

Talking with my son about Cao Cao. The kids version of Three Kingdoms establishes him as a villain right away.

Not sure if it’ll capture how he’s one of the best characters in Three Kingdoms. He’s ambitious, ruthless and a habitual trickster.

And most of it is pretty entertaining TBH.

I still have my NES with RTK2 in it 🎉🎉🎉

There’s an expansion pack for 11 on steam but it’s only in Japanese 😔

It’s okay. If you love the series it’s not bad.

I’m a huge fan of 11, I think the series peaked with that one. Perfect mix of tactics, city building, heroes, and an aggressive AI 🙏

The gate battle has me thinking how RTK8 remake should make it easier to automate in combat.

For example: Instead of commanding each unit to attack the gate each turn, it would be cool if you order them to destroy the gate and they just do it…

Old games like making you do lots of commands

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms series will occasionally have you fighting with a gate.

It's about as exciting as it sounds 🥱

I am all for anything that shortens the endgame in this series.

Not sure if it lets you do that in this one...

This was a hard fight. The CPU lost it for me twice.

Outnumbered and going through a gate-- but when your strikeforce includes Cao Cao, Zhuge Liang, Deng Ai, and Zhang Fie, you really shouldn't lose to anyone.

And I did not.

Good fight. This game could have used more of those.

I conquered the northern and central area this morning. Not my favorite area, because folks can come at you from all sides.

But once you secure it, your position becomes hard for the other warlords to dispute.

I'm red on the map and going to establish a Sun Shang Xiang dynasty in Romance of the Three Kingdoms 8 Remake, it's just a question of 'how long will it take?"

My guess: about 5-10 hours; wrapping up games in this series can be a bit of a chore.

The opening act is the best part in this series.

I liked that the show made a lot of room for Jennifer Walters, because the best She Hulk stories do that.

On one level they’re the same person but in reality they are somewhat distinct, because they’re completely different personas.

There’s been a lot of good stories about that in the comics

I’m not sure how widely read She Hulk comics are, or the expectations people had going into the show.

But as someone who is a huge fan of the comics, I think the show was a solid adaptation and I’d like to see another crack at it.

I’m about halfway through the She Hulk Disney Plus show and I’m sticking with the assessment that it’s pretty solid.

She Hulk is probably marvels best character, and the series has always been a mix of off-beat humor and heart.

The show doesn’t always nail that, but it had the right idea.

Nice! And they had a couple of brief appearances in most recent she hulk series.

The porcupine made it into She Hulk. Marvel really had some goofy villains back in the day.

The best example of this is that time Jennifer Walters had dinner with her in-laws, the Jamisons—which referenced Spider Slayer Robots—but it’s definitely a thing in She Hulk 💝

Having some fun with the cornier aspects of Marvels archives is a long standing She Hulk tradition, and it was definitely incorporated into the show

(Yes, Man Bull is a real Marvel character. Not sure about the other guy, but he probably is).

As far as teams go, it just doesn’t get much better than the Crossbell Special Support Squad 🎉
