People say they want Magic novels back. That we want the web fiction, which is free, to co-exist with paid, longer works that have a stricter editorial schedule and require Wizards to lock down a single author long periods of time. We get that by proving we're willing to pay for it.

The single best thing you can do for Magic fiction right now, even if you don't read YA, don't like Arcavios, or personally hate me as a writer, is pre-ordering this book. That sends a message. A very clear one, that is unlikely to be ignored.

Narset, a monk and former planeswalker from Tarkir sits in meditation, surrounding her are ghostly visions of Jace, Loot, and an angelic Planeswalker in the form of Elspeth.

That map led Jace to the Meditation Realm in Tarkir: Dragonstorm where Narset and Elspeth witnessed Jace conduct a ritual that went awry, consuming both Jace and the Realm.

That leads us into Lorwyn Eclipsed, Secrets of Strixhaven, and the future.

Roy and Mark are back to talk about Magic Story. Secrets of Strixhaven continues to build on the years-long story we've been calling The Metronome Arc starting all the way back with Jace in Outlaws of Thunder Junction.

The economics of books aren't quite the same as the economics of card sets. They cost less, but involve more dedicated work by one person, which means that in most cases, they take longer. A book represents a major leap of faith for a franchise like Magic.
