Games need to be built differently. If every game lives or dies by its day-one, there is no future, period -- live games demand new production plans, and your first year needs runway/planning.

For employees -- not content. Because you need those to make stuff. Infuriating and sad. Love to the team.

The people driving this problem are fundamentally incapable of protecting themselves against its inevitable consequences because they don’t see the problem in the first place.

The problem is that the industry is being driven whole-hog by the base impulse of maximizing profit. There is zero consideration of the health of the industry because the smoothbrains that believe in infinite growth assume an infinite pool of interchangeable talent.
