You do realize that any time anyone says the words "It's 2 AM" to me, my brain immediately flips to Golden Earring's 80s classic banger "Twilight Zone", yes?

Tonight I got to explain to a friend that, yes, Neo-otyughs are a thing.

And the world is a better place for it.

Picked up some Dream Theater CDs for writing music for my current WIP. Asked a lot of friends for recommendations. Got lots of different answers for recommendations, but they all closed with "Just not The Astonishing".

Note to folks sending cold-call emails about how I should hire them to work on cool projects at Romero Games RIGHT NOW, this is an excellent way of getting yourself on my "Never work with these people because they are sloppy" list.

I have a vision of an editor reading the first page of my Wraith-themed LitRPG novel and saying "What the actual fuck is this?" :-)

There are times when I think I should write a LitRPG novel.

Then I think about my actual work in the RPG field and realize that this would be a very bad idea.

So my flight into Charlotte was late…but my flight out of Charlotte was late, too! Clearly the travel curse outsmarted itself.

Anyway, home now and so is my luggage. Seriously considering a nap.

This plane is offloading in geologic time.

Headed to the airport to journey home from GenCon. Tired. Anticipating more travel nonsense. Don’t care ‘cos I got to hold Ray Bradbury’s Emmy for The Halloween Tree last night.

Gearing up for my last real day of GenCon - I fly out early tomorrow. But in the meantime, this happened last night.

This is why writers should not be left unsupervised at GenCon….

There have been times lately when I would have been OK with being murdered. Or botted. Or something.

Pretty sure my GenCon hotel room is in fact a giant waffle iron.

It has become increasingly clear to me that the thing I most look forward to at GenCon is the lethally delicious five cheese grilled cheese sandwich available in the Marriott lobby.

I am not proud.

But I do like cheese.

Have landed safely in Indianapolis. My bag, however, is apparently still at RDU.

Just when I think I’ve seen every possible way to get screwed while traveling, the universe says “Hold my beer”.
