Oceanographer, founder of Tini Scientific. She/her πŸ³οΈβ€πŸŒˆ. My goal in life was to throw expensive s**t in the ocean. Then I did it and became a world expert on ocean sensors.

At Safeway this week, rainbows are β€œseasonal” and β€œtie dye”. Is the β€œtie die” deadly typo a secret code I should be worried about?

Swift even prints emojis in the output JSON! Not sure how dacs will handle the characters though

Best part of building scientific software in Swift, you can use emojis as file names.

YES! That's the plan. You can share the data just like you would send a photo. Text your besties a JSON!

There's also a neat little map that also shows you where you took the data! I just don't want to show everyone where I live ha ha.

Brainstorming with @yuengdl.bsky.social on what fun educational experiments we can use a smartwatch for.

Here is a quick snippet of water temperature and IMU data I took this morning!

This totally tubular robot doesn’t need a centralized processing system to hop around on land or swim in the waterβ€”it relies instead on air and simple physics. That and more of the best from @science.org and science in this edition of #ScienceAdviser: www.science.org/content/arti... πŸ§ͺ

Also I have software that will output the data in real-time as a JSON from the Apple Watch Ultra (or any apple watch) if you want to be an alpha tester.

Yesish with the apple watch Ultra. Depends on whether you are close to wifi or cell service. I've been testing the GPS on my watch and there is a continuous dynamic correction. The best is within 10 feet, but sometimes it puts me on the other side of the street.

YOUR FAVORITE WEATHER APP IS JUST A PRETTY DISPLAY OF NOAA DATA

Ppl seem to think that "NOAA weather forecasts" means climate-, boat-, or "in addition to my app"-weather. But the weather forecasts *we all use* are made from the NOAA data *we all paid for*

Make that part clear when you ⬇️
