Thank you, Representative Pressley!
13.11.2025 05:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0On the other hand, maybe I somehow underestimate the willingness of Republicans to let people suffer. Maybe there really was no good way out of this. If thatβs the case, itβs quite possible this was the best option - but boy, it doesnβt feel like it. (2/2)
11.11.2025 00:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I recognize that I speak from a place of ENORMOUS privilege. I wasnβt directly impacted by disruptions to SNAP, wasnβt directly impacted by flight delays, wasnβt missing a paycheck - but I think my frustration is that people DID go through those things for what feels like nothing. (1/2)
11.11.2025 00:23 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Now how is Jon Ossoff, who is up for election NEXT YEAR, voting no, but Jacky Rosen, who just won A YEAR AGO, voting yes?
10.11.2025 03:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Chuck Schumer has lost control of the Democratic caucus in the Senate. Time to go.
10.11.2025 02:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Watching Jeanne Shaheen, Angus King, Tim Kaine and Maggie Hassan explain the negotiation - they basically are saying βRepublicans werenβt working with us and bending to the pressure, so weβre just gonna take off the pressure and then theyβll DEFINITELY work with us!β
Be so for real.
Even the DNC is pissed about this.
10.11.2025 02:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you, Senator Markey!
10.11.2025 01:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thank you, Senator Warren!
10.11.2025 01:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0So then really, what was the point? All this pain inflicted forβ¦a βpromiseβ to vote on the ACA credits?
Spineless.
People are literally not getting SNAP and are seeing their healthcare premiums dramatically spike.
06.11.2025 22:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 02. We're a big-tent party - what works in one part of the country might not work in another. And that's okay! We all want people to feel safe and succeed, even if our approaches aren't exactly the same.
If we understand this, heading into 2026, we may be more successful than we could imagine.
I think the major takeaway from last night's elections were these two things:
1. Donald Trump can't be the only thing we (Democrats) campaign on - we HAVE to be talking about solutions to the things people really care about, like AFFORDABILITY
In the New Jersey governor's race, we predict Democrat Mikie Sherrill has been elected. This is a hold for the Democrats.
05.11.2025 02:26 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0In the Virginia governor's race, we predict Democrat Abigail Spanberger has been elected. This is a FLIP for the Democrats.
05.11.2025 00:58 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0The Election Night 2025 Special of the Forecast is out NOW!
Final Predictions
New Jersey: Rep. Mikie Sherrill (D) has a 76.19% chance of winning, rating Lean D.
Virginia: Rep. Abigail Spanberger (D) has an 81.54% chance of winning, rating Likely D.
I'll be logging my thoughts here live tonight.

Utah Republicans appear to be trying to have their cake (say the popular thing and support ballot initiatives) and eat it, too (not be checked by another branch for how they interpret the results of the initiatives). Someone needs to be the final arbiter in law, and in our system, that's the courts.
