The history of the elevator at his facility is legendary. A couple years ago, they had to pay them overtime to show up earlier than their shifts to climb the un-air-conditioned stairs in the middle of summer. Thing is always breaking down.

You’ve gotta be fucking kidding, now the elevator went out at work *AGAIN* and if you don’t think that’s a big deal, you go climb 30 stories multiple times a day

My veteran husband did not attend his son’s Veterans Day program today because it would have meant taking a couple hours off of work and we would hate anyone to think he’s not a TRUE PATRIOT or complaining about working without pay

It is beyond frustrating.

I do not have words low enough to describe anyone who agrees with that dumpster fire of a human.

I know the end result is to try and force privatization, but turning people who have faithfully shown up to work in a high stress environment for no pay into the enemy is ABHORRENT. They are the most honorable among us, sacrificing so much because they truly care about what they do.

and just since this shutdown started, a controller buried a child, a controller buried a sister, and a controller was diagnosed with a debilitating disease that will force immediate retirement.

In the last 5 years, my husband’s facility lost a controller to Covid, lost a controller to a hit and run…
