I only saw a clip where he mentioned "the greatest civilisation ever" which seemed to me a direct play into the white supremecy/civiliasational erasure fascism that seems ro underlie the US approach to Europe.

Everyone in the room thinking "we are a liberal democracy - you are not".

We will not go back to a time when racist language was tolerated.

London stands united. If we see racism, we call it out.

Downing Street weighing in on Jim Ratcliffe's comments about immigration. A Number 10 spokesperson said β€œJim Ratcliffe should immediately apologise. His offensive remarks are wrong and play into the hands of those who want to divide our country.”

Nothing says β€œwe’re not fascist” like threatening to defund organisations that disagree with you.

Scrapping and replacing Lords would be a bold statment of change that would not only flush out a lot of wastrels and worse, would be relatively cheap and be a good chance to make government better.

Yang did a rap at Labour List karaoke at conference 2024 that made me feel something unnervingly close to national pride

Her seat is very marginal - even on the best of days. It is good she is focussing on that.

As a former senior advisor to Sir Keir* it pains me to say this, but I think at the present time, our country would be better served by placing the names of every Labour MP in a tombola and picking a new PM at random.

I tried it and got Yuan Yang.

If the government is finding parliamentary time to take away Mandelson's peerage they can fit in an extra clause or two to remove whatever non-common 'rights' Andrew Mountbatten retains.

Mandelson told Epstein JPMorgan should β€˜threaten’ UK government over banker tax Then business secretary advised sex offender on how Jamie Dimon should lobby chancellor

Extraordinary: Mandelson told Epstein that JP Morgan should "threaten" then cabinet colleague and chancellor Alistair Darling over tax on bankers' bonuses. In plain language: "Minister conspired with US bank against own government".

She's almost uniquely badly placed to capitalise on the extreme elements leaving the Conservatives and its subsequent detoxification because she is one of them.

Just a waiting game for Clverley now.

The King shouldn't be making a 'private' provision for his brother.

The protections to the Royal income provided by law exist only because of the grace of Parliament. There is no 'droight' to this.

Parliament should not be protecting this.

OK, so Musk was planning to go to Epstein's island, but it's not like he went there with the intent to go to a wild party or something, it was probably just some business. Excuse me, an email just came in.

*Reads:* "What day/night will be the wildest party on your island?"

Every one of homes was under construction during the Labour administration

All Councillor Parsons has done is attend ribbon-cutting ceremonies, pat himself on the back, and cut over 2,000 homes from the council housebuilding programme…
