I took too long taking my adhd meds today so now I'm just sitting here in a despairity pit waiting for the Windows 95 login sound to go off in my head and I can be a "functioning" adult again.

I'm really sorry you're dealing with so much. There's only so much consolation an internet stranger can provide, but if you ever want to talk about anything, even if it's just sending rat facts. I am happy to listen.

I was telling my wife about a new project idea I had seen on youtube and she gave me the "you promised you would finish some projects before starting a new one" look. Of course I agreed that she's right and wanted to do the responsible thing...so now I just work on it when everyone's asleep.

Oh screw that noise, I'll be frustrated with you! It's honestly crap how employers are so candid with positions like they don't know damn near every applicant is living paycheck to paycheck. Then they act all superior when you're hired like you owe them the world.

Whoops brain went faster than thumbs. I meant Microsoft had a corner on the market due to lack of programs willing to do Linux suport so the world just created open source options to open up more opportunities.

Well and especially in today's open source availability. Availability to things has jumped massively in the last 5 years and I assume it's the trail of fed up people before us.

I am on a similar boat as you. My dad has been preaching Linux to me for years and has converted any of his laptops and computers that were "outdated" over to it and has yet to report an issue. I just didn't want to leave the comfort of Microsoft until I finally realized how crappy it is!

Oof, I will take a jumpy brain over brain fog anyday. Well hopefully it's not one of those friends that lingers longer than they're welcome and may you find the dopamine to get what you'd like done!

It might be my rebellious nature being the nerdy tech kid that grew up in "cowboy country" but I love it and want to do it to a Stetson just to let all the cowpokes know NOTHING of there's is safe...I wonder how the brim would look turned up a little though.

It sounds like they just decided to enforce a policy when it was convenient for them. I could see how it might be fuse related or a trip hazard but still that's bunk. Making the space as comfortable and accommodating as possible for patients being treated should always be a priority along with care.

I am so very grateful for this platform, it really feels like there isn't a safe space online anymore for people who don't want to accept artogant ignorance willingly. I'm just grateful for the communities I have.

LMFAO's song 'Shots' is much more multifaceted than you'd think. In your 20s it applies to alcohol, but in your 30s and on it is obviously referring to espresso shots because I am so very tired...

My toddler was resisting a nap in a violent way and on a whim I just belted out the intro to Halo full gregorian monk chant style and to my shock it immediately worked! I just love how she's a little nerd already just like her dada.

I play a Mr.Handy bot named Hubert who's origin is an injury made him sentient. So as I roleplay a robot learning feelings my favorite moment has been when the party was killing a guard and Hubert/me had an existential crisis and blurted "are we the bad guys?!"
