Krakenblood by @malkydel.bsky.social is so great so far! I love the inclusion of the Helvinter rogue trader dynasty! Ivar is a great protagonist, and a wonderful insight into the head of a Wolf Priest. Only complaint is: Could use more Rune Priests, but I say that about anything 40k.

Glad you're enjoying it! Definitely wanted to keep it rooted in how Ivar and his Fenrisian culture experience the universe and to try and evoke a saga-esque feel in the telling of it.

This is the second time in recent memory where the pictures of the book did no justice to how gorgeous it is in person (the last time was @squintywitch.bsky.social ‘s Fulgrim).

This is a stunning treatment of @malkydel.bsky.social’s Krakenblood.

Can't believe it's been 4 mths since I finished a book.

We do need more Rogue Trader stories.

Some great void battles and I was not expecting one revelation (no spoilers).

Hopefully the sequal will arrive soon.

I’ve wrapped up @malkydel.bsky.social’s cracking Void King, as I get back into reading Black Library books, and what a treat this was. Rogue traders, naval engagements, schemes and betrayals… everything one could hope for.

Ah good to see it finally out in the wild (ha). A true honour to take on the sons of the Rout. Ivar is always a fun to write and I like to think that this tome carries forwards the saga-feel of Price of Morkai into something even stronger and stranger.
