Politico Magazine: "The Theory Behind Trump's Gunboat Diplomacy"

The "theory" is "I've got big guns and the Supreme Court said I'm immune from any criminal prosecution, and Congress lets me get away with everything, so I'm gonna murder brown people with big explosions and tell the public I'm saving them from drugs."

Saved you a click.

We are leaning towards a PHEV as well. Distance is a concern which is why we want the petrol engine but a large portion of our km's will be local so perfect for an EV.

Hey Womble, today I started "A Declaration of the Rights of Magicians" by H.G. Parry.

On the non-fiction front I'm half way through Midnight in Chernobyl by Adam Higginbotham and enjoying it immensely.

Bluesky folks... can anyone help me figure out who this nice person is? This weekend, me eldest dropped their phone (in a waterproof pouch) in Wright's Lake, and we spent hours hunting the lake for it, only to find it at the ranger's the next day with this photo as the last photo added...

It was but that story was about Abigail. This one being part of the Peter Grant story make you expect to get the narrative just from his perspective. Having Abigail's as well is a little different. Good different though ๐Ÿ˜Š

It does make it interesting. It took a couple of chapters to get used to it but I like it.

This one and the forward pass that wasn't at the end of the 1st half might have Bellamy spitting a bit at the press conference.

Hi Womble, just finished TJ Klune's "The Bones Beneath my Skin" and started "BlackTalon", a warhammer novel.

Have a great day ๐Ÿ˜

Yes. I think it's a great opportunity to have men's and women's origin on the same weekend plus pacific games and maybe even an NZ "state of origin".

It solves the problem of NRL games without the top 30 players. I'd send those players not involved out to country areas for community events.

I do remember thinking when the head of NATO called Trump daddy he did well to speak while he still had Trump's dick in his mouth.

Cold as you like. He looked over, saw it was a member of the press and probably remembered that Donald said they were the "enemy of the people" and took the shot. She's luck it hit the leg. A head shot from that distance might have had a different outcome.

Not sure how you blame the backs when QLD got smashed in the middle. Agree on Corey and I'm not sure I pick that 2nd row again.

Despite Gus's insistence that it's a try it's the NRL not the NFL.

This quote from Dungeons & Dragons Ravenloft: Heir of Strahd goes:
โ€œWould anyone care to exchange riddles?โ€ the orc asked.
โ€œYes. Iโ€™ll begin. Why wonโ€™t the orc shut up?โ€ Alishai spat back.
Chivarion raised his hand. โ€œI know, I know!โ€ He paused, thinking. โ€œBecause no one has cut out his tongue?โ€
Rotrog sat back and caressed the orb on his staff as if he were petting a cat. โ€œI am accustomed to less aggressive company.โ€

I am once again begging you to buy this book and fall in love with these hapless idiots who live rent-free in my mind.
