I couldn’t agree more. I love single player experiences as much as the next guy, but the importance of play, socialization, and bonding with friends cannot be understated.

As much as I hate to say it: good gameplay, bad story (and I’m a big fan of story rich games). Without quality gameplay, a quality story often falls flat. Meanwhile it can be easy to find many games enjoyable while not understanding a DAMN thing about the story. 😅

It’s like you want me to follow my dreams or something.

Oh yeah! All is well. I’ve just been struggling to create in the same way I have been and needed to vent a little bit. Everything will be just fine ❤️

I love the *idea* of taking it back, but it’s hard to embrace when slop is also used to refer to ai content or often soulless content like it. Modern multiplayer indies feel like the antithesis to all of that.

I hate it too. It’s incredibly dismissive of the hard work that goes into the development of these games and the value of teamwork, companionship, and laughter in such a fractured world. That’s not “slop”, it’s art. It’s not a “trend”, it’s a movement.

It’s almost as if during times of unprecedented horror, players seek out games that facilitate… connection??

I can’t trust that save to do its job.
