You know, the other thing that's possible (low likelihood but still) is a R jumping to D. LOTS of incentives, especially in a district that might flip in 26. "hey, want a committee leadership position?" might be a solid incentive.

I like to call them guillotines. MAYBE metaphorical, MAYBE not.

The word "guardrails" has been so overused, especially in light of the fact that they stopped existing when the supreme court said "yeah go ahead and do whatev. it's cool."

The thing that's really shocking to me is the speed and impunity, and the whole "let's just do it and not pretend we are doing anything other than moving fast and breaking things" - which is fine if you;re a startup, but if you're running support for, like, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE? Is bad, mmkay.

I feel like what we REALLY NEED on our side right now is another "OMG we could have won that IF ONLY something something centrist" fight.

My concern at this point isn't him accessing my shit, it's his data security and continuity practices. His whole org sounds absolutely amateur right now, and having folks flailing around in the systems is going to break things. I've been in IT long enough to see The Signs of Bad Idiocy.

NOT WITH THAT ATTITUDE. (i mean, yeah, you're not wrong tho - still feels worth a shot to me. There were some WILD flips in 2018, don't forget.)

Parents of baby/todd/preschoolers: The PBS Kids shows get overlooked bc they're not on Netflix or whatever, but they're by far the best/healthiest. Our kid has learned so much from Sesame St, Daniel Tiger, Let's Go Luna, Elenor Wonders Why, Carl the Collector. Free + now more accessible than ever ⬇️
