MegaMan pumpkin smashed on a neighborhood sidewalk.

I say 'was' impressed, because MegaMan drew a bit too much attention and got stolen, almost instantly.

His would-be kidnappers gave up, else he activated a crash bomb and exploded up the block.

...Sad that I don't get to smash that pumpkin later.

A creepy smiling carved pumpkin sits on steps, staring at children that would like candy on their level. Up higher, a pumpkin with a MegaMan life sits, greeting the children's middle aged parents. It's a real something-for-everyone-house.

Our 2025 pumpkin entries. I always have a "it's ok mine isn't movie quality" stance when it comes to carving, but I'm pretty proud of my lil creepy face and was impressed with my partner's MegaMan.

I learned a few things about growing corn this year with my most important takeaway being that my neighborhood's NIMBY tendencies don't extend to my front yard garden.

Being able to eat food again after 4 months on a super restricted diet is such a wild experience. Everything is spicy. Things I've never found spicy are spicy. Chiles, sure, but paprika? What is this? I've never been so pre-sliced white bread American before and it's terrible.

I can't recall the taste of food, nor the sound of water, or the touch of grass.

I dipped out from social media for the last few months while on a personal quest to throw my gallbladder into a proverbial Mt. Doom. Like Frodo, I too forgot what food tasted like, dropped an insane amount of weight, and got mean.

Not at all. Mike Lee embodies the toxic dust beneath the Great Salt Lake. All along the Wasatch Front, we suffer from his effect on the air we breathe. Please, loathe away.

Watched Strange Darling the other day. A lot of fun with some great performances. But man, I am not a fan of stories that are told out of order to either confuse the audience or hide the twist for a smidge longer.

Not that I didn't enjoy it, I did, but I would have preferred chronological order.

Futurama still. Bender singing "I love stealin', I love takin' things."

Started Scott Lynch's The Lies of Locke Lamora. Every young Locke scene feels like me playing any Bethesda game.

sometimes my tv sends a push notification to my phone that i need to download a software update and it makes me want to strip naked and walk into the forest never to be seen again. this would push me over the edge.

It really is! It might be a lame superpower, but it's what I've got.

Heroes Die by Matthew Woodring Stover being brushed up against by a nice orange kitty named Twinkie.

If there is a kitty within 100ft of me when I try to read, it will interrupt my progress. It's just science. This isn't even my cat.

Heroes Die is a fantastic read. This Matt Stover guy should write a political thriller space opera or something.

And such a lovely bittersweet ending. I'm sad that I finished it, but glad that there is so much GGK left for me to read for the first time.

Tigana by Guy Gavriel Kay is the very definition of what I mean when I say I want a book to ruin my life. I would read a passage, then close the book and stare stupidly in the distance, reliving generational trauma. Perfect way to spend a day reading.
