I've been prodding the BBC for years to release all of Ian Nairn's series, so I'm not holding my breath.
In the meantime, maybe some Hauntology artist could write a double concept album on all things Nairn.
That'd be great.

When I was a kid, sci-fi-noir futures seemed grim, unsettling, ominous, and yet, like a character in this book, I just took dex for neural enhancement and logged into an instant global network, to download data about a recent pandemic, rampant corporate corruption, and the failing political system.

Reading William Gibson's Neuromancer from 1984. He seems to have predicted...*gestures at everything: Cyberspace, VR, neural implants, AI. Just came across this line:
"How smart's an AI?"
"Depends. Some aren't much smarter than dogs."
Oh, and The Matrix shamelessly ripped it off wholesale, right?

Watching the new #Beatles Anthology series on Disney.
Looks like some of the older footage might have had an AI facelift. Every now and then there's a brief eye/head/hair movement that doesn't seem completely natural. And a couple of times John and George have an almost set-in-aspic sheen.
