What’s really pathetic is that projecting through flags is a sign of weakness, not strength. We don’t need the union flag to know we’re in Britain - it’s mainly for tourists. We used to be more secure in our identity than this.

“My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings;
Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair!"
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal Wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Yeah, this is what I wrestle with -- a college freshman today was only nine when Trump first ran for president. They've grown up with him as a baseline, not an aberration.

GM will introduce eyes-off driving in 2028 | CNN Business General Motors, the 100-year-old car company, plans to offer Americans hands-free driving and the freedom to watch a movie on the go.

“Imagine you step into your vehicle, you push a button, and it drives you to the office. You catch up on work, send emails, or watch an episode of your favorite show,” said GM CEO Mary Barra.

This exists, it's called a bus

Financial Times headline says “critics accuse” Trump of extrajudicial killings

I’m sorry, why are we using “critics accuse” language here? These are factually, unambiguously, extrajudicial killings. It’s not an opinion. It’s not a disputed or disputable claim.

He and Labour were elected as the corrective to the Tories: competent, decent, and transparent.

Failing on all three fronts just creates a vacuum that Reform will exploit.

Many years ago my early teenage (female) cousin was so upset about the cancellation of Star Trek (after series 3, I assume) that she wrote a strongly worded letter to the BBC…

Honest truth: I thought I was just taking a pic of an estuary through a hole in a tree. It was only when I got home and looked at my camera roll that I spotted the dog. I instantly remembered seeing him during the walk. He was a right twat.

The best photograph I have ever taken of a dog.

This is how Trump does everything. Reporting from reliable sources says he’s going to do something outrageous/ridiculous. He immediately claims it’s fake news. Then a few days or weeks later he does exactly what was originally reported.
