Hats off to Bruce Springsteen for Minneapolis. Echoes of Neil Young's Ohio:

We're finally on our own
This summer I hear the drumming
Four dead in Ohio

I've never fished the Glaven but we used to holiday in north Norfolk in the 1970s and I'm sure I remember them. It's a long time ago, so I may be wrong. My river was the Tas.

The sea never sleeps. Busted gabions at Scratby in Norfolk.

The River Glaven at Wiveton: a once clear, beautiful trout/dace stream and now a furred-up, grey dead zone. All across the UK rivers are dying. πŸ˜₯

Glandford church and shell museum. I was shocked by the state of the River Glaven at the ford: grey, lifeless and phosphated to f**k. What happened to our beautiful rivers?
