Pay attention in your community and talk to people who use SNAP. The fear instilled by the media is limiting your connection with others. Not a life well lived.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Yeah…when did I say it wasn’t? There are people who came to this country legally (and speak better English than many Americans) whose lives are now changed because of the H1B program, right? It’s not like all immigrants are these dumbo criminals they’re made out to be by the media. 😓

My partner, who was here legally, had to leave the country. Actual friends, who were born in the Us and are citizens, have been accosted by ICE agents. What grocery store are you shopping at?

This is how our government has been corrupted:

1) Donors give huge sums to elect politicians to office
2) Elected officials rewrite rules in the donors' favor
3) Donors make huge profit
4) Repeat

We must get big money out of politics.

It is the root of our dysfunction.

Rhetorically speaking, it most definitely does not come off the way you think it does. My life and my neighbor’s lives are objectively worse due to policy changes and mandates issued by the current administration. This is an oligarchy, wake up.

70% of working age SNAP recipients work full time. The companies should pay them a living wage! SNAP is corporate welfare.
