I don’t think anyone is prepared for what they just did w/ ICE.

This is not a simple budget increase. It is an explosion - making ICE bigger than the FBI, US Bureau of Prisons, DEA,& others combined.

It is setting up to make what’s happening now look like child’s play. And people are disappearing.

US military and families aren’t required to know any German to get a drivers license when stationed there. Agree that the symbols make it easy!

More problems for US military families overseas. Removing mental health resources for kids forced to move every 2-3 years, and dealing with an overseas move, is an awful choice.

DOD students all over the world walked out of class today to protest censorship and other administration actions that affect their schools. So proud of them!

So proud of the HS students here. They are creating an underground library for banned books.

You know who is affected by trumps EO that isn’t being talked about. DODEA schools. Clubs are being disbanded. Black history month activities are being stopped. Gender neutral bathrooms are being relabeled. FB pages have stopped making announcements for parents. A nightmare.

Last night was our village’s Christmas Market. Like all Christmas markets I have been to there was not a plastic utensil or cup in sight. Thank goodness some places are making an effort to reduce our single use item consumption!

I either have more scissors lying around the house than I know what to do with or none. There is middle ground.

Today when I woke my son (11), he rolled over and said sleepily “I was dreaming I was at a restaurant and they had just handed me some fried chicken. Now I will never get to eat it and I am very sad.” At least his dreams can come true at dinner tonight.

A good hike can turn a bad day around.

Can we work on getting better vending machines in the states? I can walk 3 minutes from my house and get eggs and fresh fruits and veggies from vending machines here in Germany. Not to mention the milk vending machine just a few minutes drive away. More of this in the states please!
