05.07.2025 19:42 β π 3 π 2 π¬ 1 π 3What's standing in the way of work that actually fits you?
Options I hear a lot:
1. Not seeing vacancies, i.e. for hybrid, remote, flexible roles
2. No luck getting interviews
3. Getting ghosted on offers
4. Not sure what I want to do
What's true for you?
If youβre working in #MedicalEducation, policy, or #HealthHumanResources, I want to contribute.
If you have any ideas, let's talk!
#PatientVoice #ComplexCare
The root of this is deeper:
We need to reimagine how we select, train, and support doctors β not just to treat disease, but to navigate complexity, uncertainty, and the lived experience of illness.
Medicine must evolve. The stakes are too high to look away.
This is a structural failure β of curriculum, of policy, of investment.
We urgently need:
*Doctors trained in complexity
*More internal med & chronic care specialists
*A curriculum that prepares primary care to manage whatβs already here
*Real support for both patients and providers
Take #LongCovid. It isn't just underfunded β itβs being erased. Whatever clinics we had are closing. Research drying up. No treatment.
ME/CFS, dysautonomia, multisystem illness, overlapping diagnoses - all neglected.
No clear pathways. No coordinated care. Patients suffering.
I care deeply about health care.
Although many individual doctors care deeply, systemic issues often fail to adequately support patients with complex, chronic conditions. The system is collapsing under complexity, and it shows.
I want to help reshape what comes next.
I hear you β as a Gen Xer myself and someone who coaches them through job loss, I see this frustration often. Corporate culture and leadership play huge roles in valuing those qualities. There are gaps to bridge so Gen Xβs hard work and wisdom get the recognition they deserve.
01.07.2025 16:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0AI can reflect existing bias, including ageism. Age shouldnβt disqualify anyone; itβs an asset and some employers still get this. The problem isnβt AI alone, itβs how itβs used. Job seekers arenβt powerless, & their job search strategy and storytelling ability can make the difference.

What are your favourite Canada Day memories? Here's one of my top ones: On the 100th anniversary of confederation, we went to Black Creek Pioneer Village to sign the Oath of Citizenship.

I've found connection in places like Lake Louise's turquoise waters, cozy Muskoka cottages, the stunning Toronto skyline from the island, the mist at Peggy's Cove' & the quiet calm of PEI's north shore.
Where have you felt most alive or at home in Canada? π #CanadaDay2025
Canadian flag. Happy Canada Day!
Itβs Canada Day, and Iβve been thinking about what this country feels like β not just the idea of it, but the lived experience.
Especially for the people I coach whoβve relocated here β they donβt just want to βfit in.β
They want to belong. To feel connected. To live it.π§΅
