The thing is, it’s hard to delicately let these people down. β€œThe reason you think ChatGPT is good is that you are functionally illiterate” is a hard pill to swallow.

People don’t need to β€œlearn to use AI”. They need to learn how to think and make connections themselves and thus will facilitate their efficient use of whatever technology comes along. Crafting the right prompt for AI doesn’t take AI training, it takes liberal arts training.

Americans voted against the most successful economic recovery of any nation on the planet for this, because they were mad at their servants being paid more and listened to liars who made them feel good.

Oh boy, this is straight bullshit. Cowering in the face of online trolls because it's "too distracting" is especially embarrassing considering the insane amount of trolling @rachelgilmore.bsky.social has put up with for YEARS and still managed to do her job, and well.

It is clear to me that many in the American government underestimate the true depths of the passive aggressiveness of the Canadian spirit.

If you're buying a kid a gift and you like the parents get them something crafty with low setup that allows for self play.
If you don't like the parents get them the thing with the most elaborate fucking setup that needs to be reconfigured after each use and is loud as all hell.

Writing is thinking.

It’s not a part of the process that can be skipped; it’s the entire point.

Every time we see this, we should repost it.

Let's make it the anti-fascist version of the "Tom Holland Lip lip syncing to Umbrella in a corset" video: everyone must reshare every time, and no one gets annoyed.

I strongly believe that we underestimate the power of existential despair in our current cultural and political moment.

Every transphobic argument can basically be boiled down to: "I actually don't know the science at all or have a good argument here, but trans people challenge my long held view of the world and it's very uncomfortable and everyone should be expected to move around my discomfort."

The individual is a religious figure of Greek descent and considered non-violent. Please remain vigilant during this period.”
