reading Orientalism

When I played it at launch the main campaign seemed almost trivial -- exciting when you're scrappy and then you just become a team of one turn knockdown/nuke machines. Lack of exciting crits etc really undermined. Loved the art/aesthetic tho. Curious how your thoughts develop, especially post dlc

The big adjustment to my thinking the last few years is: In the narrow area of Managing An Economy, competent socdem types and competent communists want the same thing, and have the same problems to solve. It's 'communism *or* capitalism or barbarism' and the barbarism lobby is very very large.

Finished The General Theory, pretty burnt out and skimmed a lot of the mathematical arguments in the back third. Good book!! Funnier and more fun to read than I expected. That guy fucking hated hayek. I am fully convinced re: digging up bags of money.
