06.08.2025 15:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Anti-trans stuff in the UK has gone so far that Anne fucking Widdecombe is defending trans women.
...in her own, special way, obviously.
GCs are not afraid of men. Some are, most aren't. They hate trans people. That's it.
They don't complain about male football managers or male shop assistants or male police. Only trans people.
Everything they say and do to justify that hate is just noise.
Got excited because Boots had started blister pack recycling for pill packets.
Scanned loads of them into the app, came into town, and... Nope. Currently closed due to everyone else getting excited about it, too, and the 'special' bin bag being full π
So... Me and my pill packs will get tea.
You shouldn't have led with 'you can drown the far right' because I started wondering on the legality of that before I reached the end of the sentence. Oh... in facts. Drown in FACTS. Disappointing...

Oh yes!!!
Can all the obsessive βgender criticalβ transphobes PLEASE f*ck off and stay home and let the rest of us decent people shop in peace!!! ππ»ππ»ππ»
Aargh, no! Just checked the long-range forecast, and there's dark mutterings about above average temperatures... lalala, I'm not listening!
05.08.2025 18:18 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Nooo! I was enjoying wearing my cardigan today...
05.08.2025 18:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0*winces* Could you be a bit quieter, please? π
Not only is everything very loud, but the inside of my ears are cold...
I also found out that the stand-in audiologist was the partner of the usual one, and he showed me pictures of their new (very cute) baby - which is why the usual one was off.
No dancing, but it was being effortlessly cute.
05.08.2025 16:09 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Thought of you this morning - or rather, I thought of Four Poop Pepe, as I was walking behind a small black poodle.

05.08.2025 10:55 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Sounds adorable, and just my sort of thing. Life is too short to be wearing boring socks!
05.08.2025 10:46 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As I walked back from gym, I saw that Fatface had a sale. I shouldn't have gone in. I don't need ANY MORE SOCKS. But how could I resist these? π

The βwanting to remain anonymousβ transphobic-as-f*ck βmotherβ is demanding βthat M&S would implement a policy to ensure that transgender staff would not approach young womenβ
They want to remove trans people from being in customer-facing jobs!π£
And the Telegraph is PROMOTING it!
Daily Mail Girl footballers defend their right to have short hair after match is stopped when opponents accuse some of them of being boys
This is an inevitable outcome of the βgender criticalβ anti-trans panic and general transphobic hysteria, whipped up by the media and implemented by politicians! π
Itβs not just trans people who suffer from the misogynistic gatekeeping of βwhat is a woman?β π€

Skirt finally attached. Still a lot of fiddly unpicking of gathering threads etc to do, but I've had enough for one night. At least it finally looks like progress!
04.08.2025 20:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's Tegretol (carbamezapine). Still used by loads of people.
04.08.2025 18:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes, but the old one is one of the first generation medications - very dirty, with major side effects. They've been trying to get me off it for years! The epilepsy nurse does check things with the consultant first, though. So I'd like to be without the side effects but dread coming off it still.
04.08.2025 18:23 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Yes! I was just filling in my health diary that my epilepsy nurse likes me to keep. I'm dreading the next call, as she's going to want to change me to a new medication. Much as I hate the current one, it's working, and has been for 20 years...
04.08.2025 17:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I did do the room-by-room thing once, a few years ago, and I've saved it, and give it a swift update every so often. So doing it today will save you pain in the future!
04.08.2025 16:53 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0That's why I went with them, too! Also, they weren't a great deal more, and to pay the small amount extra for the peace of mind that everything will be replaced instead of underinsuring (which I gather is quite common) is worth it.
04.08.2025 16:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Free tea Monday - with husband. Then we got back and he realised that he was supposed to have been in a meeting while we were chatting, so I'm leading him into bad ways by tempting him with the promise of tea ππ«

04.08.2025 11:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Does this look like an entire morning's work? Not really! Sewing is much fiddlier than my memory has painted it.
I have started on the skirt after being far too busy doing everything but sewing. Please remind me next time I decide to start on a sewing project that I'll get fed up halfway through π
