I take a lot more (10x?) digital photos in a year than I did when I had to pay to get them processed. Still, I really can't believe processing and storing big jpegs takes anything like the water the big machine in supasnaps or wherever used.

I suppose even if it had, it might not have stopped "bothsidesism" that we got with the BBC, inflating and legitimising the right-wing position.

I trace it back to the elimination of the fairness doctrine in reagan's era - so there was no longer any requirement for fox news et al to present a balanced view. Wind forward 30 years and the public still believe the tv news, no matter what vile lies and half truths it is spreading.

Quite so. I still applaud the ingenuity of the original fess though.

yes, but burning it releases more pollutants and fine soot particles into the air - even more so if the landfill captures the methane produced

It really says to me "those who do not know their history are doomed to repeat it". But who teaches the history of APIs?

President Zelenskyy:

"Ukrainians defend what's theirs. Even those who are with Russia know that Russia is doing evil. Of course, we will not reward Russia for what it has perpetrated. The #Ukrainian people deserve peace. But all partners must understand what a dignified peace is.

You can play that the other way too though:

If you want to see Michelle Mone kicked out of the House of Lords and arrested until she pays the Β£232,000,000 she owes give this a RT.

If you want Rishi Sunak's involvement in the Β£14,900,000,000 PPE Fraud he covered up investigated, LIKE.

I guess that is why you hear "in collision with" in official reports, as it more explicitly does not place blame on either party. I'd rather people came off the fence if something is obviously true though.

Three-minute heroes: TikTok made songs shorter but artists are pushing back with longer tracks with more emotional resonance - BBC News Pop songs got drastically shorter in the streaming era. But new BBC research shows that trend is over

Interesting read. There's also an analyis of tracks on spotify showing they are getting shorter: www.bbc.co.uk/news/resourc...

Yes, but no-one watches gbeebies anyway. It's the BBC we need to bring round - farridge has appeared 38 times on question time, and when he isn't there, there's almost always someone else from his party of only 4 mps.

We've got the house rigged with cat cams so we could see they were alright while we were away. I think they deliberately avoided them, we only saw one cat in the whole 2 weeks.

Another problem is the impact of battery life on the resale value. If battery packs only last 10 years then cost Β£10k to replace, a 10 year old car is uneconomical to repair. Anything newer is devalued pro-rata, so the cost of upgrading to a better car is higher all down the line.

There's one thing I don't understand: if channels allow charge cables to run across the pavement, it'll only work if you can park outside your own house. I can't remember the last time that happened in our street. Would all the neighbours then have to sell charges to each other?
