True enough -- just pointing out how ridiculous the idea is before you do a lot of basic engineering and start a very lengthy process of engineering and experimentation.

There are massive engineering problems to solve with building data centers in space or on the Moon. Launch costs are merely part of it, as are radiation issues. Removing heat is much harder in space, as you must radiate it all away, requiring huge amounts of radiators that must be in shadow.

With so many headspinning changes taking place in so many domains, I pity anyone trying to write fiction set in the near future. You'll no doubt be wrong in many major ways... unless you choose to call it "a story of an alternative timeline."

The critical problem facing electronic game developers is this: Every day over 200 games are released, between mobile, PC, and console. And only about 6% of new games get any traction at all, since most people stay with games they already play.

With a TikTok ban on the way, and FB/Threads/Instagram becoming as awful as XTwitter, it sure looks like BlueSky is the real place for civilized discourse. Now all I need is something interesting to say.
