I did 99.5%of the drawings on the day, then typed up and added the extra text and colour the next day. Then I wanted to print and bind it so that it can be a little stand-alone zine, so that’s what I’ve done :)

Tso stands over the dinner table before attacking the meal. Underneath the table, a mouse eats two kiwi fruits.

Detective Tso sweeps up the haircut hair from the floor and then breaks the broom in half in anger at this task (all metaphorical, of course).

As night draws in, a dance to the night spirits is required. They bring the moon and the stars.

Tso goes to sleep under a patterned quilt. But it is owlet Oat’s time to shine, standing on the window ledge and waiting to leave into the night.

Oat the owlet is opening one eye to see if dusk has fallen…it has not…so it’s back to sleeping in the airing cupboard.

Detective Tso watches the window. The window watches Hiccup that cat who is skulking in the undergrowth.

Tso goes out into the forest again to see what has changed. The air smells of woodsmoke and the birds are settling down to roost. The trees look very big.

As it gets dark, Tso writes up some case notes under the light of the lamp.

A hungry washing machine is fed with clothes. Then the clouds roll in across the sky and take away the brief sun.

Detective Tso chats on the phone to a friend and twirls the phone cord at the same time.

As it’s not warm enough outside, the clothes are put on the radiators. Each sock is put next to its friend.

Lunch is here and is full of vegetables. Detective Tso has grown broccoli arm muscles. Strong.

I’ve also written a little bit of extra text for some of them which I’m going to try and type up later in the day and then stick on, time permitting…

Detective Tso wakes up and looks tired…then goes downstairs to drink a hot drink. The radio says the weather isn’t looking very promising…

Next it is time for a haircut…cutting a neat line can be tricky. The hair falls to the floor. Best to have a bath afterwards so that the hair doesn’t stick to your skin.

Now it is time to get dressed and throw some clothes all over the floor. Then you can go for a walk. Detective Tso is surprised it’s a little sunny out.

Time to eat. There is some bread and an apple to have. You can shove it all in your mouth at once and your mouth grows huge.

I’ve set myself a time limit of ten minutes per drawing…so that I can do other stuff to then draw 🙃

I’m three weeks behind on my comics :( which I think is the furthest behind I’ve been. But I’m still not feeling too well so have had to pause things until I have more energy.
