Success in baseball is remarkably correlated to highest spending. Run the analysis.

This year MLB had #1 in payroll vs #5 in payroll. Last year was #3 vs #2. The tax is nonsense. The big market, high spending teams buy victories.

The NBA, NFL, and NHL have systems in which the players get a fixed cut of revenues. 🤷‍♂️

They will have played 5 top 10 teams. No one even comes close. (And yes the Florida loss was awful.)

That is not true. Look at NBA or NFL salaries.

The purpose of a cap is to level the playing field. The NBA is your example. Lots of different winners, and lots of different Finals teams.
